I am the public education reporter for the Texas Tribune, covering K-12 policy and politics throughout the state of Texas. I headed south directly from Connecticut, where I spent two years as a public education, transit and zoning reporter for the hyperlocal nonprofit New Haven Independent.

After graduating from Yale in 2013, I received a Parker Huang Undergraduate Travel Fellowship to report for nine months on social issues affecting rural and urban Afro-Panamanian populations.
